CEO and Founder

Prior to becoming the founder and CEO of Pavegen in 2009, Laurence graduated with a 1st class honours in Industrial Design & Technology from Loughborough University. As CEO and a member of the Board, he encourages a revolutionary approach to the energy efficiency industry, whilst leading the Pavegen team from a technology and operations standpoint.

Since Pavegen's inception the company has successfully installed over 100 projects in 30 countries, with global brands including: Coca-Cola, Shell, Adidas, Schneider Electric, Lexus, and Westfield.

Winner of over 20 awards, including both 'Eco' and 'Social Enterprise' Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2015 and the Individual Energy Prize at the World Technology Network Awards. Pavegen was also named one of the UK's Top Innovative companies in the Bloomberg Business Innovator list 2016. Laurence is a renowned thought leader and worldwide speaker on entrepreneurship and technological innovation.

He is acclaimed by The Guardian for “shifting perceptions of renewable energy”. Having spoken at more TED talks than any other technology company, Laurence’s TEDxBerlin presentation was featured among TED’s top talks on envisioning cities of the future and changing attitudes to fossil fuels. More recent speaking engagements include the United Nations General Assembly and a keynote alongside Apple Founder Steve Wozniak at DMZ 2.0, Korea.
