SIEMENS MINDSPHERE

ABU DHABI, UAE

Siemens MindSphere in Abu Dhabi

Last year, Pavegen signed a formal agreement with Siemens to work collaboratively on future smart city projects.

In November, we integrated with Siemens’ internet of things platform MindSphere for the first time. The cloud-based service enables Pavegen tech to connect to a central hub for instant performance information and remote management, enhancing the data capabilities for Pavegen clients.

Paired with Pavegen's kinetic citizen and engagement experiences, Mindsphere is optimising the data collection service provided by Pavegen to increase post-project and event communications for clients, brands, businesses and stakeholders.

Advancing Smart City Solutions and Data Management

In November 2019, Pavegen took a bold step toward revolutionising urban sustainability and data collection by integrating its kinetic energy technology with Siemens’ MindSphere. The challenge was to optimise Pavegen’s data capabilities, offering clients real-time insights and remote monitoring for their installations. This collaboration aimed to position Pavegen as a key player in smart city innovation while providing businesses, governments, and stakeholders with enhanced visibility into project performance and sustainability goals.

Integrating Pavegen with Siemens’ IoT Platform MindSphere

Through Siemens’ MindSphere, a cloud-based IoT platform, Pavegen installations were connected to a centralised data hub, allowing for instant performance reporting and remote management. This integration transformed Pavegen’s kinetic energy solutions into more than just energy-generating walkways—it turned them into data-rich platforms capable of tracking footfall, energy output, and audience engagement in real-time.

MindSphere enhanced the data transmission and analytics capabilities for Pavegen, enabling clients to visualise and monitor the impact of their installations on both a local and global scale. The cloud-based system allows for seamless data integration across multiple Pavegen locations, fostering smarter decision-making and more efficient sustainability tracking.
