ADIDAS MARATHON
SANTIAGO, CHILE
In order to help Adidas launch their Boost shoe range in South America, Pavegen created a 16-
tile branded walkway at the entrance of the International Santiago de Chile Marathon. The
walkway powered signage situated along the marathon route displaying 700 motivational
messages to runners at the last mile of the race.
Enhancing Runner Experience at the International Santiago de Chile Marathon
Adidas aimed to create a memorable launch for their Boost shoe range in South America, specifically targeting runners at the International Santiago de Chile Marathon. The challenge was to integrate a compelling and interactive experience that would resonate with the marathon participants and effectively promote the new shoe line.
Boosting Motivation: Interactive Walkway Powers Marathon Inspiration
Pavegen installed a 16-tile branded walkway at the marathon's entrance. This innovative setup harnessed the kinetic energy from runners' footsteps to power signage along the race route. Positioned strategically at the final mile, the signage displayed 700 motivational messages, providing runners with a burst of encouragement as they neared the finish line.
A kinetic gamified experience was also set up to engage with visitors throughout the marathon. Encouraging users to boost their energy output on Pavegen tiles.
