Pavegen partnered with Formula E to install 24 tiles at the finale of the racing season in London’s Battersea Park. Pavegen were challenged to create an interactive racing experience that was fun for all ages. Around 60,000 attendees were on hand for the event.

The activation engaged enthusiastic race-goers to speed virtual race cars around the track, by jumping on the tiles as quickly as possible. The event helped educate the general public about alternative green energy solutions, whilst creating a fun, engaging activation.

The Need for an Interactive Racing Experience at Formula E’s Finale

Pavegen faced an exciting challenge when partnering with Formula E for the season finale in Battersea Park, London. With approximately 60,000 attendees expected, the goal was to create an interactive and entertaining racing experience that would captivate visitors of all ages. The activation needed to combine fun with a meaningful message about alternative green energy solutions, reflecting Formula E’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

 

Accelerating Fun with Kinetic energy floor Tiles

Pavegen installed 24 kinetic tiles at the event, transforming them into a high-energy, interactive racing experience. Attendees could influence virtual race cars by jumping on the tiles, which harnessed their kinetic energy to propel the cars around the track. This engaging setup allowed participants to experience the thrill of racing while contributing to a larger conversation about green energy.
