After long deliberation with the Pavegen team, Central Bedfordshire came up with an innovative way to use our unique tech.
Two clean electricity generating walkways that help to power a data screen & display monitor, and two USB charging benches for commuters by the station entrance. The collaborative space provides the opportunity for visitors to engage directly with sustainability every time they exit and enter the station. The project was a joint venture between ADEPT, West Midlands Railway, Central Bedfordshire Council and Leighton Buzzard train station with Pavegen is providing the technology.
The monitor can be used to display the amount of electricity generated with each step, inspiring people to consider their actions and to host messages that are more captivating due to the nature in which they are triggered.
