London, UK - Pavegen, the global leader in harvesting energy and data from footfall, has brought to life Kia's "Movement That Inspires" brand slogan by creating the world's first kinetic tennis experience, which engaged thousands of tennis fans during a recent event in Melbourne, Australia.
Designed to showcase Kia's commitment to sustainability, Pavegen's high-tech kinetic brand experience had over 7,000 gameplays during the two-week grand slam tennis event, providing a fun, active, and meaningful way for people to connect with the brand and learn about key sustainability messages.
Called '#MakeYourMove,' the interactive booth at Kia Arena was powered by Pavegen's patented technology, which converted the footsteps of players into off-grid electricity used to help charge the tournament’s official EV fleet. Players generated electricity by competing against the clock and jumping between five interactive energy floor zones, mimicking tennis moves to win prizes and generate more energy.
To add a competitive element to the experience, a leaderboard featured the top ten players who generated the highest amount of electricity during a single gameplay, with random prizes awarded to all ages and abilities.
As Kia marches towards its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2045, the '#MakeYourMove' campaign has successfully brought the automotive brand closer to thousands of people in a unique and memorable way. Pavegen's world-first kinetic tennis experience has enabled Kia to spread key sustainability messages and educate the audience about the importance of making a positive impact on the environment.
