Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards

from footsteps to forests: Pavegen at the lloyds british business excellence awards

11 November 2025

One powerful night. Thousands of footsteps. 1,000 trees waiting to be planted.

Tonight, at the British Business Excellence Awards, we’re proud finalists for Sustainable Business of the Year - and we’re bringing our mission to life with an activation that turns human movement into measurable environmental impact.

We’ve installed a 7-square-metre Pavegen Walkway and three of our new X2 Chevrons on the main stage, transforming every step into an opportunity to create change. For every movement across our tiles, we’re contributing to a goal of planting 1,000 trees across the United Kingdom, which will sequester around 1,000 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifetime.

💡 Why It Matters

This isn’t just about seeing numbers on a big screen. By engaging with the flooring system, guests will experience climate action in a hands-on, immediate way, and will witness the collective power of human movement turning into tangible impact.

Behavioural change starts when people are curious, connected, and involved. As leaders gather at COP30 in Brazil to discuss global climate action, our activation brings that same principle to life - showing that sustainability isn’t abstract, it’s something you can see, feel, and take part in. Our tiles spark conversation and remind us that every step, when combined, can create meaningful, collective change.

🌎 A Shared Mission

Tonight, we’re inviting everyone to step up – literally. Each stride across our tiles contributes to a shared mission and demonstrates the power of people coming together for climate action.

One night. 1,000 trees. Think we can do it?
