Pavegen GO, our accompanying digital app, allows passengers to earn points and rewards for every step they take over the tiles. These rewards are linked to authentic sustainable action, generating a sense of shared purpose and a new level of trust with your visitors. Rather than journeys simply being something that must be endured, transport hubs can make the shift towards a worthwhile and meaningful part of a passenger’s journey.
GENERATE CLEAN ELECTRICITY
Pavegen’s V3 energy tile harnesses the power of every passenger’s footstep to generate instant clean electricity used to power applications such as LED lighting, charging stations or interactive gamification. As well as clean-electricity, Pavegen also generates captivating experiences. By gamifying traditionally static spaces, you can enhance commuters’ journeys and create genuinely enjoyable travelling experiences.
HOW PAVEGEN WORKS
As pedestrians walk across the Pavegen system, the weight from their footsteps compresses electromagnetic generators below, producing 2-4 joules of power of off-grid electricity per step. Low-Power Bluetooth beacons in the system connect to Pavegen-GO, generating permission-based analytics, purposeful content and rewards for users. The system can act as a standalone installation or interact with building management systems.
